Welcome to Five Rivers
Welcome to Five Rivers, a diverse rural community in eastern New Brunswick just south of Kouchibouguac National Park, located half way between Moncton and Miramichi.
Five Rivers was created on January 1, 2023 through local government reform in New Brunswick.
The new municipality was comprised of the former village of Rexton, the former Local Service District of Weldford, and parts of the Local Service Districts of Harcourt and Richibucto Parish.
Within its boundaries, you will find multiple communities, including Galloway, Mundleville, West Branch, South Branch, Fords Mills, Targettville, Browns Yard, Beersville, Clairville, Bass River, and many others.
Within Five Rivers you will also find the First Nation of Elsipogtog, the largest First Nation in New Brunswick.
Five Rivers is bounded by the municipalities of Beaurivage to the north, Nouvelle-Acadie to the northwest, and Champdore and Grand-Bouctouche to the south.
