Local Government Reform (2023)

Five Rivers was formed on January 1, 2023 as a result of municipal reform in New Brunswick. The new municipality was comprised on the village of Rexton and the former Local Service Districts (LSDs) of Harcourt, Weldford, and Richibucto Village.
