Does the Municipality look after all streets and roads in Five Rivers?

No. Five Rivers is responsible to look after the roads and streets in the former village of Rexton, except for designated highways, which include Route 134 and Route 116. Outside Rexton, in the former LSDs Harcourt, Weldford, and Richibucto Parish, the province is responsible to repair and maintain the roads. This road repair and maintenance service is funded by a provincial tax of 41 cents per $100 of property assessment value.
