What services does Five Rivers provide directly?
The Public Works Department operates and maintains the wastewater system in Rexton, provides snow clearing services for sidewalks and municipal properties in Rexton, and maintains municipal parks, fields, centres, and other properties in Rexton, including Kenney Park, Carson’s Landing, the Recreation Centre, the Splash Pad, the outdoor rink and Bonar Law Commons Park. The Recreation & Culture Department plans events and programs for area residents, such as Canada Day celebrations and summer camp for youths. The Fire Departments of Five Rivers provide fire protection and prevention services to Five Rivers as well as neighboring areas (under mutual aid agreements). Five Rivers has two fire department: the Rexton Fire Department and the Beersville/Clairville Fire Department. The Beersville/Clairville Fire Department have two Fire Stations, one in Beersville and one in Clairville.
